DC Brakes R27 — New Sprint Racing Compound

Introducing R27 — the new DC Brakes racing brake pad compound developed for sprint racing, Time Attack, and intensive track use.

R27 was engineered to deliver a balance of strong braking performance, precise modulation, consistent friction, and optimized wear life. Rather than pursuing an excessively high coefficient of friction, R27 provides a progressive and predictable response that gives the driver greater control at the limit.

Its stable friction characteristics across a wide temperature range make R27 particularly well suited for high-performance braking systems where consistency and modulation are just as important as outright braking torque.

DC FrictionLock™

R27 also introduces DC FrictionLock™, our mechanical friction material retention technology.

Hundreds of micro-hooks mechanically engage the friction material across the surface of the steel backing plate, while additional wearable anchors extend deeper into the friction layer to provide increased resistance to shear loads.

As the pad wears, these anchors are designed to gradually wear together with the friction material, allowing maximum use of the available pad thickness.

The result is a robust mechanical connection engineered for the extreme temperatures, thermal cycling, and braking loads encountered in motorsports.

R27 — controlled friction. Consistent performance. Built for sprint racing.

Coming Soon: RE26

The DC Brakes racing range is expanding further. RE26, our new endurance racing compound, is coming soon — developed with a focus on long-term friction stability and extended wear life for endurance applications.

Full specifications and performance details will be announced soon.
